Introduction of FY-4B
FY-4 is the 2nd generation FengYun Geostationary meteorological satellite.
The first satellite of FY-4 series, FY-4A, was designed to be an R&D satellite and launched on December 11, 2016.
FY-4B, the second satellite of FY-4 series, was designed to be the first operational satellite of FY-4 series and
launched on June 3, 2021.
